Ingredients:
1/2 cup room temperature butter1/2 cup shortening
1 cup white sugar
1 cup brown sugar
2 large eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 cups flour
1 1/4 cups quick oats
1 1/4 cups old fashioned oats
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1 1/2 cups (your favorite) chocolate chips (optional)
Directions:
1. Cream together butter, shortening, sugars, eggs, and vanilla (I like to use my Bosch, Kitchen Aid would work good to, I would not recommend by hand unless that's all you have)2. Mix together dry ingredients in a separate bowl and slowly add to batter
3. Bake in a preheated oven at 350 degrees for 10-15 minutes depending on oven until golden brown
4. Place on a cooling rack and let cool slightly, ENJOY!!!
Makes about 5 dozen depending on size of cookie scoop :)
Tip: I like my oats mixed, quick and old fashioned you do not have to use both but if you only have old fashioned and want both just put desired amount in a blender for a couple of seconds and voilĂ you have quick oats.
